‘The George W. Bush Track’ 12"
Still waiting for the revised test-pressing.... :(
Website Update
We are going to revamp this site to make it easier to use, have more stuff, images and music samples.
7/2004
Take Aim - ‘The Pop Idol Song’
‘The Pop Idol Song’ has had its run, making a bit of an impact on independent radio stations including a
Top 5 position on Pulzar FM in Christchurch and a bit of airplay on 95bFM and George FM.
Take Aim - ‘The George W. Bush Track’.
This track has now passed 20,000 downloads at the Amplifier website.
We have the first test pressing back of the 12" and while it sounds good it is not up to scratch.
Expert opinion from DJ Greg Churchill (who kindly dropped the test pressing into a set at Code nightclub)
means we need to get the pressing tweaked to be a bit more club-friendly.
This will delay things a bit but its better to get it right.
The good news is the 12" will be pressed in red vinyl.
‘The George W. Bush Track’ may also see a simultaneous release on CD with ‘The Pop Idol Song’ included.
Tomorrowpeople - Work In Progress
We are finishing off a re-work of ‘Teleporter Music’ with ex-UK vocalist KT Chambers,
re-mastering of ‘(Got The) Time?’ and a brand new track which can only be described as ‘dirty’.
These tracks will be finished in the coming weeks.
We are also working on a remix of Pluto’s current single ‘Dance Stamina’.
Have a listen to the original version here.
You can check out Andy Diamond on Saturday afternoons 4-6pm on Julia FM 107.5FM.
The station is now live streaming on the web and features an in-studio web cam.

3/2004 Take Aim Release New Track - ‘The Pop Idol Song’!

Following on from ‘The George W. Bush Track’ Take Aim have released ‘The Pop Idol Song’.
The track is a piss-take of the NZ Idol TV show which is New Zealand’s version of the syndicated
world-wide ‘Pop Idol’ reality TV concept.
The track features vocals by the ‘wannabe pop starlet’ Miss Priss and is an electroclash style.
This is a great way to have a laugh at the circus that is the pop idol TV format!
You can buy the track as a hi-fi MP3 from the Amplifier website.
With the release of this track Take Aim held the No.1 and No.2 positions respectively on the
Dance section of the Amplifier chart.
The track is also currently in the PulzarFM Hot 30 in Christchurch and being played on 95bFM and George FM.

Take Aim - ‘The George W. Bush Track’ To Be Available On 12” Vinyl
We are pleased to announce that ‘The George W. Bush Track’ will be release on limited 12” vinyl soon.
The Tomorrowpeople have done a 2004 ‘touch-up’ to the original mix and completed a ‘re-edit dub’ and an
acapella for the B-side.
The tracks have been mastered by Chris Chetland at Kog.
Orders for the 12” can be placed by emailing us or keep an eye on the site for news updates.
The video for the track is progressing well and should be complete at the end of March 2004.
A ‘video edit’ version of the music will accompany the video.

Tomorrowpeople
Quite a few things on the cards for this year including a video for the ‘George W. Bush Track’ —
still going strong at www.amplifier.co.nz — and a bunch of new tracks.
This includes a nice electronic pop song with guest vocalist Jo.
Take Aim
A timely new track from Take Aim is in the works which will be released to radio in the next couple of weeks.
It’s very topical and should be a bit of a laugh... stay tuned!
Tha Media Hoez
We also helped out our friends Tha Media Hoez with their track ‘One Played Message’.
The track is
timely hip-hop bootleg of ‘that’ Mike King answer phone message which has been
mashed up with Scribe’s ‘Not Many’.
Listen out for it on 95bFM and George FM.

George FM
Andy Diamond has been lucky enough to do a few shows on George FM over the last month which has been fun.
Only a couple of minutes of ‘dead air’ and not one angry txt to the studio - not bad!
Julia FM
Starting the weekend of January 24th 2004 the Tomorrowpeople’s Andy Diamond will be hosting a
regular weekly two-hour show on Auckland’s newest radio station Julia FM.
The show is called The Polyphonic Mixture (Saturdays 4-6pm):
“A mixture of musical lollies from now, then and in-between. Boiled sweeties,
chocolate peanuts an fluffy marshmallows. Yum."
Julia will be broadcasting on 107.5FM in a very limited area — inner city Parnell, Grafton etc. with
a wider coverage area to come soon.
Tune in and have a listen.
3rd Party Influence
Andy Diamond from the Tomorrowpeople joined with Simon Redfern (Holiwater Project) and Torsten
to be part of 3rd Party Influence, a non-linear, ad-lib electronic act.
3rd Party Influence do not rehearse their sets - everything is played ad-lib and the members
swap instruments throughout the performance.
The live set up includes synthesizers, drum machines, on-stage mixing desk, sample play-back,
electric bass, electric guitar and noises.
The trio played a live two hour show at the Odeon Lounge in late November 2003, the bulk of
which was recorded to MiniDisc and some video footage was also taken.
Andy Diamond has been working on compiling a CD of 3rd Party Influence pieces recorded during
jam sessions and the live gig at the Odeon Lounge.
Simon and Torsten relocated to Germany so there will not be any 3rd Party Influence gigs for a while…

The Auckland regional finals were held on Thursday March 20 at Spy Bar.
Each of the 10 finalists had their original track pressed to a dub plate and were required to DJ it into a 20 minute set.

TV3’s Nightline Programme
The Tomorrowpeople were featured on TV3’s Nightline, talking about producing ‘The George W. Bush Track’.

The item also featured Carl from Radio Active in Wellington, talking about the popularity of
‘The George W. Bush Track’ on Radio Active.

S.G.N.Y.
A Tomorrowpeople remix for Auckland producer SGNY was completed in January.
Possible release as a B-side on a SGNY 12” for Statra Records out of NYC.
The remix is on the ‘electro-house’ vibe.
We are happy with the remix and have had a great reaction from those who have heard it.
Currently the track is un mastered.

The Tomorrowpeople have produced three remixes for NZ pop vocalist K ’Lee:
‘Broken Wings’, ‘1+1+1 (It Ain’t 2)’ and ‘Can You Feel Me?’.
All of these remixes are available on K’Lee’s commercial CD singles (all certified gold status in New Zealand)
and are released through Universal Music NZ.

Other Remixes:
The Tomorrowpeople have had the opportunity to remix several ‘non-dance’ tracks.
These include Australian singer/songwriter Dan Greenwood www.dangreenwood.com and LA-based Beth Hart www.bethhart.com
Dan’s great debut album was produced by Charles Fisher (Savage Garden, Air Supply, Hoodoo Gurus)
and is worth getting hold of.
We worked on a ‘pop-dance-radio’ remix of Dan’s track ‘Only One’.
The mix remains unreleased but it was a great project to work on.
Tomorrowpeople also worked on a demo remix for Australian artist Lyndelle, for Universal Music Australia.
The original track was a 95bpm RnB number which was required to be remixed for pop radio.
